In people’s minds, abortion is one of many solutions to get rid of a baby that is not wanted or it’s not the right time to raise a baby; it is also one of the most controversial issues of our time. Abortion has it’s own effects on people and society mostly in a bad way. Church and other religious groups are against abortion, while others in our society are supporters. There are some options other than abortion to solve this issue, such as: adoption, teen parenting, and more. â€Å"How many more women will be exploited, injured or killed by abortion? More than 4,000 women choose to abort every day. That’s about 1.5 million abortions each year.† (lovematters.com). First, abortion has physical and emotional side effects on the birth parents†¦show more content†¦They were made for the Lord, and the Lord cares about our bodies.†(1 Corinthians 6:12-13). God said â€Å"I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb† (Jeremiah 1:5), and that is an evidence that God created us for a purpose that only him knows it. But with all that, if we sin; God can forgive us if we repented, as God said, â€Å"No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you as white as sand.† (Isaiah 1:18). Here is a great example of a woman who had committed sin by going through abortion and god forgave her, because she asked him for forgiveness, â€Å"Growing and maturing in a relationship with God has taken the pain from my past sins. The Human relations movement initiated by Elton Mayo was the next part of the management development. This theory stated that managers should be more people oriented than objective oriented (Lasserre, 2012). Mayos theory stated that by recognizing the social needs of the employees the managers would be able to increase the productivity of the organization. Based on McGregors X Y theory of motivation the manager within an organization needs to differentiate between the two types of individuals and accordingly use the human characteristics in order to devise the motivational techniques (Raso, 2010). Steven Covey and John Kotter states the most recent views about leadership. According to Covey leaders should manage things and lead people and according to Kotter the leader should further have the ability to cope with complex situations and changes. Thus based on the modern concepts the managers within the growing organizations are required to frame their leadership strategies. Critically evaluation of the performance based on management theories and models In the modern managerial prospective the managers are require to display situational leadership skills in order to manage the diverse work cultures. In the past the managerial skills and management techniques were essentially based on the 14 principles of Fayols management. To establish the principles of Fayols management the managers in the past scenarios had to show leadership skills based on the Follets leadership theories. However, in majority of the organization, the leaders in the past were found to be exhibiting bureaucratic leadership style. Martin (2010) opined that use of bureaucratic management theory of Weber helps to increase the efficiency of the managerial productivity. However opposing the above views Raso (2010) stated that using the contingency approach is the best way to organize and lead the company. A contingent leader is capable of applying their own decisive style and situational style in order to manage the changing circumstances. The use of the situational leadership is favorable in case of handling the organizations based on the rules of the system approach. The systems approach used in the modern management concept accepts the organization as an open system where the functions of the organization are affected by the interactions of its environment. Thus, maintenance of open communication skills is necessary for the achievement of the organizational goals. From the sample 360-degree performance appraisal analysis, it can be seen that the manager is exhibiting situational leadership styles as per the contingency theory. The individual manger in this case can also devise motivational techniques based on the type of employees working within the organization. In the modern setting the Stephen Coveys seven habits denotes the necessary skills that a manger should posses in order to enhance the managerial skills (Thompson Martin, 2010). The seven habits are namely being proactive, engaging in personal leadership, maintaining a priority list, adopt a winning attitude and deliver good communication skills. After the performance appraisal of the individual, the concerned peers will recommend the qualities like the individual should possess self-determination and should adopt a winning strategy by nurturing high confidence levels. The evaluation also shows that the manger has the ability to lead the group with motivational examples. Thus, the manager exhibits leading skills instead of ordering skills. Ellis Hopkinson (2010) added that leading skills would help the manager to reduce the burden or pressure and divide the risk among the team members equally. However, the evaluation shows that the manager is not goal focused hence it is recommendable for the manager in the sample analysis to adopt MBO concepts in order to successfully focus on an objective based approach. Adaptable to technology: The major success factor of an organization is the successful implementation of the appropriate technological factors. How to Make Water From Hydrogen and Oxygen Water is the common name for dihydrogen monoxide or H2O. The molecule is produced from numerous chemical reactions, including the synthesis reaction from its elements, hydrogen, and oxygen. Mix the two gases together, add a spark or sufficient heat to provide the activation energy to start the reaction, and presto- instant water. Merely mixing the two gases at room temperature, however, wont do anything, like hydrogen and oxygen molecules in the air dont spontaneously form water. Energy must be supplied to break the covalent bonds that hold H2 and O2Â  molecules together. The hydrogen cations and oxygen anions are then free to react with each other, which they do because of their electronegativity differences. When the chemical bonds re-form to make water, additional energy is released, which propagates the reaction. The net reaction is highly exothermic, meaning a reaction that is accompanied by the release of heat. Two Demonstrations One common chemistry demonstration is to fill a small balloon with hydrogen and oxygen and to touch the balloon- from a distance and behind a safety shield- with a burning splint. A safer variation is to fill a balloon with hydrogen gas and to ignite the balloon in the air. The limited oxygen in the air reacts to form water but in a more controlled reaction. Yet another easy demonstration is to bubble hydrogen into soapy water to form hydrogen gas bubbles. The bubbles float because they are lighter than air. Flaws with Utilitarianism Essay Among the most glaring problems that I see with Utilitarianism is its inclusion of animals under the umbrella that blankets this theory. It seems irrefutable that there exists an inordinate number of cases where the consequence that is against the best interest of an animal is favorable to humans, yet that dictating action is one that has been continually taken and condoned by the general public. This is a fundamental challenge, as the Utilitarian philosophy decrees that the pleasure and pain experienced by all individuals, including animals, has equal worth and must be considered when determining the net benefit of an actions consequences. The most drastic and prevalent of examples that one could provide to illustrate this contradiction would be the practice of using animals to provide food. It cannot be argued that it is in the best interest of a cow, a chicken, or another animal to be slaughtered to serve the dietary needs of mankind. Accordingly, Utilitarian reasoning suggests, in direct opposition to the intuition of humanity, that it is morally impermissible to kill the animals. While a Utilitarian philosopher might provide the counter-argument that such is natural order of the world that there exist a hierarchical food tree. Further they would insist that the greater good is that humans be nourished and provided for by the meat, for our pleasure is superior in quality to that of the beast. This reasoning, however, is flawed in two ways. Initially, the method by which meat finds its way to grocery stores for our purchase and eventual consumption is not one governed by the ways of nature, but rather is one engineered for efficiency by humans. Animals are bread forcibly, then nourished with specific intent of managing fat content, meat flavor, and healthiness, each of which discounts the Utilitarian claim that nature makes our carnivorous methods ethically permissible. Secondly, and perhaps more fundamentally, such a claim is in direct contradiction to the Utilitarian tenet that each individual has equal value regardless of identity or stature. Because humans could be sufficiently nourished without the killing of animals, it cannot be argued that the consequence of causing death to an animal is equivalent or less substantial than that of feeding a man. Conversely, there exist equally as many challenges to raise had the ethicist taken the alternate position that animals have equal value and accordingly that their pleasure is impermissibly infringed upon when they are killed for human interest. Arguments could be presented for a bevy of actions taken on a daily basis by society as a whole. One might address the fact that using animal testing for the advancement of medicine has benefits that outweigh the pains. Similarly, while the development of land effectively kills the previously animal inhabitants, it is an accepted result that society has displayed it is willing to disregard. In each of these cases, the majority of society condones such behavior, as evidenced by their existence as common public practice. While it is undeniable that opposition to each behavior does exist, the magnitude of this resistance is far outweighed by those in finding the long term benefits worthy of the negative consequences. In the end, it grows apparent that while it may be valuable to consider the interests of animals when calculating the net benefit of a given action, neither their pleasure nor their pain should be equated to ours. Such a principle has been introduced through the ethical thought experiment The Dilemma of the Swine. Resultantly, human existence constitutes higher pleasure that does that of an animal and we are often better served by making such a distinction through intuitive analysis rather than applying Hedonistic Calculus. The fact that Utilitarianism can be forced into contradictions regardless of the stance they choose makes the inclusion of animals under their ethical umbrella a significant problem.

Social media has been used to champion the rights of Internet users, journalists, citizens, and bloggers who have been arrested, imprisoned or prevented from reporting, during the Egyptian parliamentary elections in late 2010. Bahraini authorities arrested an estimated 250 Shiite men who had allegedly been planning to carry out acts of terrorism. Human rights groups labelled it as a crackdown aimed at cementing control before October parliamentary elections. Social media campaigns expressing outrage at the extent to which governments tried to exert control over the digital space, appear to have influenced government decisions to scale back proposed laws and regulations. After a draft law by the Jordanian government was widely criticised by news websites and activists claiming it would restrict media freedoms, it was amended. A similar situation occurred in Lebanon. Social media has enabled the masses to establish their own agendas. Social networking services have expanded the tools available to exercise individual freedom of expression. The number of Facebook users in the Arab world (17m) has surpassed the copies of newspapers sold (14m) Facebook and other social media platforms are now beginning to define how people discover and share information, shape opinion, and interact. In Jordan, people dont interact, they are in small groups and they dont open up easily Social networking and media platforms are serving as a bridge to build communities in both the virtual and physical worlds.
